Summer Arts Camp

Come to WEEK ALIVE - a daily program for children entering
grades 3- 6 involving movement, improvisation, choral singing, vocal
techniques, and simple staging of selected works. We'll dance and
sing folk songs of different cultures, do musical theater songs
with staging, sing choral works with movement... and explore many
styles and ways of interpreting music with body and voice. A demonstration
program for families and friends will cap off the week.
Here's your chance to work with the best and bring out your best.
No experience necessary, just a love of the arts! Join us for the
joy of it.

Musical Experience for Children

Music is a natural form of self-expression which helps develop
a child's potential ability, discipline, and a lifetime enjoyment
of the art form. Through the M.E.C. program's activities, which
include singing and movement to music of many different styles,
the joy of music is fostered in an experiential environment. Children
discover and explore what makes music special, and just how musical
they really are.
Musical Experience for Children is taught by the experienced musical
staff of the Glen Ellyn Children's Chorus (GECC).
Partially sponsored by generous gifts from The Illinois Arts Council,
a state agency, and The National Endowment for the Arts, a federal
agency that supports the visual literary and performing arts to
benefit all Americans. Co-sponsored by the Glen Ellyn Children's
Chorus.
